QING: Tong Zhi, 1862-1874, AE charm (7.15g), Guizhou Province, Hua Guangpu p.1749, boo kiyan in Manchu only, VF to EF, RR. This mint was not active in the reign of Tong Zhi for casting circulation coins., and although Hua Guangpu states this was cast at the Baoquan Bureau in Guizhou, it is unlikely it was produced there. The similarity of this type and others with various mint names cast in the same style would indicate they were cast at one central mint, perhaps somewhat officially, likely during the reign of Guang Xu, 1875-1908.
