QING: Xian Feng, 1851-1861, iron 4 cash (13.46g), Ili mint, Xinjiang Province, H-22.1086, cast in 1855, natural casting hole, listed by Hartill as rarity-5, Fine, R. Iron was rarely cast in Xinjiang during the Qing dynasty. Only this and the 10 cash were produced during 1855, and were soon discontinued likely due to refusal of the local populace to accept them in trade.
