ROHILKHAND: Khan Bahadur Khan, 1857-1858, AR rupee (11.03g), Bareli, AH1274 year 73, KM-46, issue of the Indian Rebellion of 1857, bold strike, lovely iridescent toning, bold strike, Extremely Fine to About Uncirculated, RRR, ex. Eck Prud'homme collection. Khan Badur Khan Rohilla was the grandson of Hafiz Rahmat Khan. He formed his own government in Bareli in 1857 Indian revolt against British. When the Indian Rebellion of 1857 failed Bareli, was subjugated again by the British. Khan Bahadur Khan was sentenced to death and hanged in the Kotwali on February 24, 1860. An extremely rare and desirable type.
