ROMAN EMPIRE: LOT of 42 coins, most from various provinces and cities, including Egypt (6 BI tetradrachms of Hadrian, Valerian I, Carinus, Diocletian etc.), Spain, Macedon, Marcianopolis, Viminacium, Caesarea, Nisibis, Akko-Ptolemais, Tyre, Caesarea Maritima, Samosata, various cities of Decapolis (Petra, Gadara, Bostra, Antiochia ad Hippum), Ascalon, plus a few from client states (Nabataeans, Thrace, 9 of Judaea, including a year 2 Jewish War prutah), as well as Parthia (3 AR drachms), Elymais, Achaemenid Persia, Axum; average circulated conditions, many bronzes worn and with surface corrosion but still identifiable, all but one attributed on accompanying holders; retail value $500, lot of 42 pieces.
