ROMAN PROVINCIAL: LOT of 69 bronzes, all from Greece and Anatolia, mostly issued under various early 3rd century rulers but also a few earlier ones (incl. a few of Augustus), including Macedon (3, from Amphipolis and Anchialus), Thrace (8, from Hadrianopolis, Mesembria, Odessus, Pautalia, Philipopolis), Moesia Superior (2, from Viminacium), Moesia Inferior (42, about half each from Marcianopolis and Nicopolis, also one from Callatis), Anatolia (1 of Augustus of uncertain mint), Mysia (1, from Pergamum), Aeolis (2, from Cyme and Myrina), Bithynia (2, from Nicaea), Ionia (2, from Ephesos and Smyrna), Pisidia (1 from Sagalassus), Pamphylia (1 from Side), Cilicia (2, from Syedra and Tarsus), Capadocia (1 from Caesarea), plus a large bronze of Commodus of uncertain location; most in VG-F to VF conditions, most attributed on accompanying holders; retail value $700, lot of 69 pieces.
