RUSSIAN EMPIRE: tea brick money (1084g), late 19th-early 20th century, Opitz p.341, 237 x 182 x 20mm, made by A. V. Shvetsov and Sons Trading House, both sides divided into 8 sections, each stamped on the front with chistyj / tsejlonskij (pure Ceylon) and a circled 03, followed by the name of the company, and on the back with two birds above the company's monogram, traded and used as payment in Mongolia, Tibet, China, and Central Asia, a well-preserved complete specimen with original glossy surfaces and only minor peripheral abrasions, AU, ex Dr. Robert A. Rosenfeld Collection.
