SAFAVID: Isma'il I, 1501-1524, AR 1/4 shahi (2.32g), Herat, AH927, A-2585G, mint & date in obverse center; the date is clearly 927 and not 912, as the so-called "1" between "9" and "2" is actually the alif of the mint name herât; moreover, Herat was not under Safavid control until AH916, VF, RRR. The style is similar to the half shahi of the third silver standard of the East, type A-2585F, known dated AH927-928 from several mints.
