SALGHURID: Zangi, 1161-1175, AV dinar (2.68g), NM, ND, A-1926, citing atabeg / zangi in the obverse field, with the Salghurid tamgha between those two words, and the nominal Western Sejuq overlord al-Sultan al-A'zam Muhammad b. Tughril II in the margin, with the caliph al-Mustanjid on the reverse; nice strike for this type; unpublished subtype, VF, RRR. Muhammad b. Tughril II was the brother of the Western Seljuq Arslan b. Tughril II, stationed in Khuzestan. His name also appears on some of the coins of Husam al-Din Aydughdi, the Atabeg of Khuzestan.
