SAMANID: Ahmad II, 907-914, AR dirham (3.92g), al-Ma 'din, AH299, A-1446, citing the mint engraver Mujib before the mint name in the obverse mint/date formula, and in minuscule letters at about 5h in the reverse margin; some central weakness of strike, appears to be unpublished and unique, lustrous AU, RRR. This is one of the most important coins we have seen that cites the engraver, with the formula "naqash hadhâ mujib" ("Mujib engraved this") before the mint name. The name Mujib only is found in minuscule letters on a few other Samanid dirhams of al-Ma 'din circa 299-303 and with just the word mujib below the obverse field on a dirham of Nishapur dated 314.
