IMPORTANT NOTE - The Buyer's Premium is now $20 per lot or 20% of the hammer price, whichever amount is greater. SAXE-HILDBURGHAUSEN: Ernst Friedrich III, 1745-1780, BI 1/24 thaler, 1760, KM-50, Cr-29, a lovely lustrous mint state example! PCGS graded MS63, ex Joe Sedillot Collection. In 1760, Saxe-Hildburghausen was suffering from deep debt and economic decline under Duke Ernst Frederich III, while also feeling the indirect strain of the Seven Years’ War. The duchy was under imperial financial oversight and had little autonomy.
