SAXE-WEIMAR-EISENACH: Ernst August II, 1748-1758, AR 6 pfennig, 1754, KM-62.3, C-8, mint master initials IH, a well stuck lustrous argent example, PCGS graded AU55, ex Joe Sedillot Collection. In 1754, Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach was under the young rule of Duke Ernest Augustus II. While the duchy was not involved in major events that year, it was a time of relative calm before the turmoil of the Seven Years' War, and before Weimar’s later cultural rise.
