SERBIA: AE medal, Commemorative Cross for the War of Liberation and Union, 1914-1918, with original ribbon, XF, ex Joseph E. Lang Collection. The Commemorative Cross for the War of Liberation and Union, 1914-1918, was instituted on December 1, 1920. It was awarded to Serbian and Allied military personnel who participated in the liberation of Serbia during the First World War. The obverse of the medal features the profile of King Petar I and the years 1914 and 1918 with the King's name and titles in Cyrillic. The reverse shows the Serbian double-headed eagle coat of arms with the years 1915, 1916, and 1917.
