SHANGHAI: brass token (23.32g), issued by Bradford Dyers' Association Ltd., 51mm, with center hole as made, B. D. A., two bats below // its Chinese name, ying guo li hua ran fang gong si you xian (sic), each character in circle, faint hairlines and marks, XF-AU. The Bradford Dyers' Association was a consortium formed in 1898 by about 20 companies engaged in the piece-dyeing trade in Bradford, UK, known then as the wool capital of the world.
