SIKH EMPIRE: BI rupee (10.26g), Kashmir, VS18(88), KM-46.13, Herrli-06.37.04, with bha in Gurumakhi on obverse, for governor Bhima Singh Ardali (1830-1831), VF, R. Struck in heavily debased silver, during the monetary risis period circa 1826-1834, which lead to reductions of both weight and fineness, for which Herrli has cited a few near-contemporary sources and regrets that so little actual information regarding the Sikh rupee at Kashmir during these years could be found.
