SIMJURID: Abu 'Ali Muhammad II, 987-997, AE fals (2.48g) (Herat), AH(3)77, A-T4608, cf. Zeno-14008 (same obverse die, with clear mint name) & 270026, without the Samanid overlord (Nuh III), thus struck during his very brief claim of independence, also citing the local governor of Herat, al-Hasan b. 'Ali, Fine, RRR. All fulus of Herat struck later in 377 and from 378 onwards cite Samanid overlord and are thus classified as Samanid coins (but separately as Simjurid on Zeno!).
