SOGDIANA: Wahshutawa, ca. 730 AD, AE cash (1.75g), Semirech'e, Kamyshev-30, issue of the Turgesh Khaqans, Sogdian legend around central square hole / semicircular symbol, tamgha with additional runic P tamgha, around central square hole, couple tiny natural casting holes, crude Very Good to Fine. The probably cause of the tiny casting holes was that the liquid bronze poured into the casting tree solidified before it thoroughly reached every corner of the tree. This would indicate that the manufacturing competence was inferior to that of contemporary China.
