SOUTHERN SONG: Chun You, 1241-1252, AE 100 cash (32.4g), H-17.806, 53mm, large size flan type, dang bai (value one hundred) on reverse, graded 78(06) by GBCA Grading Company, artificial defect, VF-XF, ex Dr. Dirk Löer Collection. Emperor Lizong of Song was the 14th emperor of the Song dynasty of China and the fifth emperor of the Southern Song dynasty. He reigned from 1224-1264 and under the reign title Chunyou from 1241-1252. He ruled under a total of eight different reign titles while emperor. In his forty year reign, he did little to nothing to improve the Dynasty and instead sought pleasure even as the Mongols were terrorizing the borders.
