SRIKSHETRA: silver-washed AE unit (6.37g), probably late 6th century, Mahlo-13.6, bhadrapitha, 5 lamps above // srivatsa, celestial symbols above, world-pillar (yupa) inside, with 4 stupas either side, vajra (thunderbolt) left, sankh right, very rare in this quality (usually severely corroded or oxidized), VF, RR. The silver-washed copper pieces may be contemporary counterfeits, but it is also quite possible that they were officially issued during a financial or military crisis. They are very rare, and almost never found in decent quality.
