STATE OF QI: Fu Chang, 1130-1137, AE 5 cash (10.97g), H-18.79, with zhong bao legend, seal script, EF, RRR, ex Shèngbidébao Collection. The Jin created the Da Qi ("Great Qi") state in their second attempt to create a puppet state in northern China, then nominally ruled by Liu Yu of Han Chinese descent, but was obligated to obey the orders of the Jurchen generals. In late 1137, the Jin reduced Liu Yu's title to that of a prince and abolished the State of Qi after a failed invasion of the Song territories. The Jin and Song then renewed the negotiations towards peace.
