SWITZERLAND: Aargau, AE medal, 1891, Richter-14c, Martin-13, 45mm, by Hugues Bovy based on design by Robert Dorer, issued for the 1891 cantonal shooting festival in Bremgarten, Hans von Hallwyl advancing facing, raising his right hand and gesturing at others to come towards him, his coat-of-arms to left, view of village in background, sun rays above, his name and the date 1476 in exergue // lion rampant left above cantonal arms, crossed rifles and wreaths behind, lovely chestnut-brown patina, PCGS graded Specimen 65. Hans von Hallwyl was a military officer of the Old Swiss Confederacy. He led his troops to victory at the Battle of Morat (Murten) against the Duchy of Burgundy on June 22, 1476.
