SWITZERLAND: Confederation, AR 5 francs, 1939-B, KM-42, a fantastic mint state example! PCGS graded MS66, ex Joe Sedillot Collection. Fought in June of 1339, Laupen was the first battle in which the white cross (now known as the Swiss Cross) was documented as being used as a field sign worn by Swiss combatants. It later became the national symbol of Switzerland.
