SWITZERLAND: Confederation, AR medal (45.07g), 1891, Forrer V, 397; Schweizer Medaillen-44, Grossmann Coll.-118, 50mm silver medal for the 600th Anniversary of the Swiss Confederation by Anton Schnyder, coats of arms of Schwyz, Unterwalden, and Uri in trefoil with "LEIDG.BUNDESSCHWURIN BRUNNEN 1291 - BUNDESFEIERIN SCHWYZ 1.AUGUST 1891" around with coat of arms circle of the Cantons and Swiss Federal shield at top, with dates of entry into the Confederation opposite each shield and "1848" above Federal arms // Victory with laurel wreath flying above scene of the Rütlischwur (the oath of the old Swiss Confederacy) with chapels to left (MORGARTEN) and right (SEMPACH) with lake and mountains behind, in original plush red box of issue, beautiful light orange and blue toning, prooflike, with a few hairlines in the obverse prooflike field, plain edge, UNC, ex Presidential Coin and Antique Co.
