SZECHUAN-TIBET: Empress Tzu Hsi, 1861-1908, AE 10 cents, ND, Kann-B27/28var, KM-XM425var., facing bust of the Dowager Empress Cixi // design of Tibet trade coinage Y-1 (¼ rupee), copper fantasy, NGC graded MS64 BR, RRRR. Listed in the older editions of the Unusual World Coins by Krause Publications, but only in silver & gold, but eliminated from the last two editions. The fantasy silver dollar of this type is well known, and the fractions, tentatively intended for 50 cents and 10 cents, are much rarer. No example of the copper fantasy of this denomination has appeared in auctions listed on CoinArchives.
