TENASSERIM-PEGU: Anonymous, 17th-18th century, cast large tin coin (77.77g), Robinson—, 73mm, knotted dragon right with long protruding pointed tongue, 6-point rosette below with vertical center // different 3-line Burmese legend, still undeciphered (except the bottom line, which is 361 ma), unpublished & extremely rare, very bold casting, differs from lots Lot 1863 and similar examples in this auction primarily by the rosette arrangement, probably unique, choice EF-AU, RRR.

Differs from Robinson Plate 9.1 by the rosette and the previously unknown Burmese legend. Examples of this new type for the heaviest group thus far reported, weighing 77g to 86g. The meaning of "361" remains mysterious, as it does not fit with any of the Burmese calendars then in use.
