TENASSERIM-PEGU: Anonymous, 17th-18th century, cast tin large coin (70.60g), Robinson-24 (Plate 9.4, same molds), 67mm, knotted dragon left with long protruding pointed tongue, no dots below the dragon // jumble of meaningless symbols, probably an emergency issue form the Perak region, Unc, RRR. Coins of this type, where the dragon rather resembles a snake, typically weigh in the 55g-75g range, and were found in the Perak hoard, noted by Robinson, pp. 56-58.
