TIBET: AR 5 sho, Valcambi mint, BE16-21 (1947), KM-X2, official restrike of the Central Tibetan Administration issue, snow lion before three mountain peaks, two radiant suns above //central legend surrounded by a circle to which eight lotus-petal panels are attached, each containing one syllable of the legend dga' ldan pho brang phyo(gs) las rnam rgyal ("the Ganden Palace, victorious in all directions"), mintage 1,000, with original box of issue, PCGS graded Proof 68 DCAM. Silver proof struck by the Valcambi mint in 1978 and authorized by the Dalai Lama in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh, India and marketed by Tibetan Coin Distributors in Adelaide, South Australia.
