TIBET: LOT of 5 silver trade rupee with various chopmarks, ND (1939-42), with western numeral '5' in rectangular countermark (3), Tibetan syllable and two Chinese characters within long rectangular countermark (1), unread Tibetan countermark (1), average circulated condtion with some nicer, retail value $400, lot of 5 coins. With portrait of Guang Xu derived from British Indian rupee of Queen Victoria. For use by the lamas of Litang Lamasery which today is located in the southwest part of the Garzê Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province.
