TRAVANCORE: LOT of 32 hand-struck silver chuckrams, mostly type Sarassan #181, which she assigns to the reign of Rani Lakshmi Bayi (1810-1815), plus a few of Sarasan #168, assigned to Marthanda Varmma (1729-1758), and a few that seem to be local imitations; an interesting group, mostly VF, some better; actually assignment of these chuckrams to specific rulers is still theoretical; retail value $320, lot of 32 pieces.
