TURKEY: Abdul Hamid II, 1876-1909, AR medal, 37.7 mm (22.09g), AH1300, NP-1115, 37.7 mm, Imtiyaz Madalyasi ("medal of service"), ex-mount, with traces of the mount almost exclusively on the edge, lustrous Extremely Fine. General award medal, ranked above the silver Liyakat medal but below the gold Liyakat. The reverse has an inscription in Ottoman Turkish that translates roughly as "Medal for Those That Have Shown Exceptional Loyalty and Bravery for the Ottoman Empire". The name of a recipient has not been engraved on this example, as is frequently the case. The type was introduced in 1882 (AH1300) and used until at least 1915.
