TUTICORIN: AV pagoda, ND (ca. 1760-94), KM-49, Venkateshwara standing, facing, holding conch & discus // granulated reverse, NGC graded MS64. This style was struck long after the death of Venkatapiraya in 1641, and continued under Dutch authority from 1784-85. Tuticorin coins were also struck at Colombo, Ceylon, where they circulated as well.
