UNITED STATES: "1/4" charm (0.25g), "1859" (ca. 1930s), Locke-2/2, 10mm gilt brass round "California Gold" token, Liberty head type 2 left with "1859" below and 13 stars around // #2 bear at bottom with "1/4" above with floral wreath around and CALIFORNIA GOLD at top, semi-prooflike, a few hairlines, plain edge, Unc. The type numbers refer to Mike Locke's catalog. Struck by Tatham in the early to mid-20th century. These are common, but scarce with the gilding intact such as this piece.
