General John Joseph Pershing GCB (1860–1948), nicknamed "Black Jack", was a senior United States Army officer. He served most famously as the commander of the American Expeditionary Forces (AEF) on the Western Front during World War I, from 1917 to 1918.Jules Prosper Legastelois (1885-1931) was a French sculptor and medallist. He studied sculpture with Emile Carlier and medal making with Eugène Levasseur and Georges Tonnelier. Legastelois's work included a number of plaquettes and medals for the Paris Mint.
