UNITED STATES: Fifth Street Railroad, early 20th century, Cy (yellow celuloid) token, Atwood-230H Cy, Dayton, Ohio, one fare, for the Fifth Street R.R. Co., central hole and 8 stars on the reverse, VF to EF, RR. Similar tokens were made of highly flamable vulcanite circa 1870s-1890s, replaced by somewhat less flamable celluloid around 1890s, last used for tokens in the 1910s. Non-flamable plastic was introduced in the 1940s and remains in use for tokens to this day.
