VIETNAM (SOUTH): Republic, 50 dong, 1975, KM-14, Schön-48, F.A.O. issue, a lovely mint state example of the extremely rare type! PCGS graded MS63, RRR, ex Howard A. Daniel III Collection. The 50 dong coins dated 1975 were struck but never shipped to Vietnam due to the fall of the South Vietnamese government. It is reported that all but a few examples were "disposed of as scrap metal" and therefore the type is very rare.
