IMPORTANT NOTE - The Buyer's Premium is now $20 per lot or 20% of the hammer price, whichever amount is greater. However, we have also reduced opening bids on lower value items to adjust for the new Buyer's Premium structure, so all-in costs are still very close to what they were in the past. This change in fee structure will allow us to continue to offer coins valued at less than $100 in addition to our higher value offerings. Contact us with any questions.
WARRING STATES: State of Qi, 400-220 BC, AE knife money (47.8g), H-4.6, three-character type, qi fa huo (the authorized currency of Qi) in archaic script on obverse, thin characters in high relief, attractive greenish patina, graded 75(06) by GBCA Grading Company, artificial defect, Fine, ex Dr. Dirk Löer Collection. The Qi Knife Money evolved from an ancient Chinese bronze implement with a ring at the end, this ancient knife was known as a xue. While knife money is shaped like a knife, the Qi Knives were never actually used as actual knives.
