WESTERN HAN: Anonymous, 115-113 BC, gilt AE cash (3.21g), H-8.8var, wu zhu, with a raised rim on the top of the hole on the obverse, shàng lín san guan type, variety with dot below wu, with shuiyin gu (ancient mercury) luster, some encrustation, EF, RR, ex Zhao Quanzhi Collection. Shang Lin refers to the Three Offices of Shang Lin Park which were the Office for Coinage, the Office for Sorting Copper, and the Office of Price Equalization. Minting was now confined to the central authorities. These coins usually have a raised rim on the top of the hole on the obverse. This type seemingly unpublished by Roger Wai San Doo.
