WESTERN KSHATRAPAS: Chastana, ca. 78-130 AD, AR drachm (2.37g), Fishman type 4.3(1) (this piece), standard type: king's but right, blundered Greek legend around // hill over wavy line, crescent left, sun right, carefully engraved Brahmi legend around, XF, RR. This type became the standard for all silver coinage of the future kings of the Western Kshatrapas (with a few exceptions), never used on the copper or lead coins. Soon afterwards, the SE date was added behind the king's bust, frequently off flan.
