WESTERN LIAO: AE Daoist pendant tablet (charm) (23.33g), cf. Zeno-109899, 21 x 61mm copper/brass Daoist pendant tablet; stylized Chinese characters together with various secret magic Daoist symbols (somewhat different selection on each side), popular during the Liao period (circa 9th-12th century or slightly later), rectangular hole for suspension at the top, superb example. Two different examples have been published by Zheng Yiwei (CCC-1:2654/55) and incorrectly assigned to the Tang dynasty.
