WESTPHALIA: Jérôme Bonaparte, 1807-1813, AR 1/6 thaler, Braunschweig, 1812-B, KM-87, Cr-11, a lovely lustrous mint state example! PCGS graded MS63, ex Joe Sedillot Collection. In 1812, the Kingdom of Westphalia, ruled by Napoleon’s brother Jérôme, contributed troops to Napoleon’s invasion of Russia, suffering heavy losses. Jérôme's ineffective leadership and the war’s toll deepened unrest in the kingdom, accelerating its decline.
