YUGOSLAVIA: AR crown, 1967, Bruce-XE3, 38mm silver essai by the Royal Government in exile, Franklin Mint issue, wonderful light violet peripheral toning, mintage of only 803 pieces, with accompanying original plush box, ".999 F.S. 0462" on edge, NGC graded Proof 69 UC, R. Peter II was deposed by the Yugoslav Communist Constituent Assembly on November 29, 1945. After World War II, he settled in the United States where he died after a failed liver transplant on November 3, 1970. He was buried in the US at the Serbian Orthodox Monastery in Illinois. His remains were flown back to Belgrade, Serbia on November 1, 2013.
