ZAND: Karim Khan, 1753-1779, AV ½ mohur (5.45g), Basra, AH1192, A-2789, with mint epithet Umm al-Bilad, supremely rare in in superb quality! PCGS graded MS63, RRR. The Iraqi city of Basra was briefly brought under Zand control, circa 1190-1192, where silver abbasis and gold quarter & half mohurs were struck. The "1196" half mohur is actually dated 1192 with the "2" retrograde.
