ZIYANID: Abu Tashufin 'Abd al-Rahman I, 1318-1337, AV dinar (4.57g), blundered mint name, A-515.2-var, posthumous imitation, crudely engraved legends on both sides, the "mint name" is a very crudely engraved tilimsan, NGC graded MS62. The Ziyanids lost control of their capital at Tilimsan (Tlemcen) in AH737, regained it in AH760 (plus a very brief recovery during part of 749-753), and it is likely that the first imitations were struck somewhere during that period.
